Botox

The physical substance of Botox is derived from a neurotoxin called botulinum toxin- a type of bacteria. The bacteria itself is highly toxic, but it works well for cosmetic purposes when used in small areas. Most commonly, it is used to reduce and smooth wrinkles and fine lines on the face.

The effectiveness of Botox and popularity is attributed to its ability to block nerve signals, and temporarily relax muscles in targeted areas by paralyzing them. Botox injections can also be used to temporarily modify facial appearances such as eyebrow lift, Nefertiti neck lift to tighten up the sagging skin in the jaw area, and masseter reduction for a heart-shaped face.

Another Botox injection application is to temporarily suppress over-reactive sweat glands in individuals who suffer from excessive sweating in the underarm and hands. Direct injection into the affected area where sweat glands reside results in blocking the chemicals that initiate an overreaction of the glands for up to 7 months.

Botox injections can also be used to reduce migraines symptoms or pain. The injections are administered around temples, shoulders, and neck. The hypothesis suggests that the presence of Botox at the injection sites deter the pain signals from traveling and reaching the nerve endings responsible for the experience associated with chronic migraines.

Your first Botox treatment may take seven to ten days to take effect and last anywhere from three to six months. However, subsequent treatments will take effect faster and last longer; after a handful of treatments, the treatment may only be required once a year. Botox can also be combined with Dermal filler injections to achieve the desired look and a longer lasting effect.

Dermal Filler Injection

Dermal filler is a natural carbohydrate called Hyaluronic Acid (HA) already existing in the body; it is a smooth gel made of a naturally occurring sugar substance in the skin and is responsible for adding volume and hydration. Over time, the body starts losing the hyaluronic acid and collagen, leading to lines, wrinkles, and loss of fullness and firmness in the skin. Dermal filler injections can fix those lines/wrinkles. Fillers are also a safe and effective way to produce a fullness that has been diminishing with age, or as a beauty enhancement method for other parts of the body such as the lips, chin, cheeks, etc.

Hyaluronic Acid can make your lips look full again, enhance the contours of your face, fill in wrinkles, and help remove scars. It can also be used to make cheeks full, fix nose damages, or even make your face look more youthful. Unlike Botox, which is used in upper areas of the face to smooth lines by temporarily paralyzing the respective muscles, fillers work to plump and fill in the lower and mid facial areas that have increasingly lost collagen, or to provide additional symmetry without surgery. Both treatments can also be combined and used together for optimal results.

Microneedling

Microneedling is a minimally invasive, collagen inducing treatment that aids in the rejuvenation of the skin by activating the body’s collagen production to reduce the appearance of fine wrinkles, lines, and acne scars. Microneedling is done with a Dermapen, a pen-shaped device with a circular head that comprises of tiny needles that penetrate the skin in a stamping motion (in various frequencies and intensities) all around the contours of the face and neck, as controlled by our medical professionals.

Upon entering the skin’s layer, these needles activate the skin’s tissues and collagen-producing mechanisms to stream in an array of elastin and collagen fibers to the area of entry. The immediate result is a fuller and tighter appearance in the skin’s surface. Over time, this form of therapy begins to plump face and neck's appearance, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, aid in hyperpigmentation (skin discoloration), and diminish acne scars.

Platelet Rich Plasma therapy (PRP)

Platelet-rich plasma therapy (PRP) is a technique used to rejuvenate your face using your platelet-rich plasma, specifically targeting facial scarring, wrinkles, and hair loss. A physician will take a small amount of blood from your arm and spin it in a centrifuge machine to separate the plasma (the clear fluid) and platelets from the red blood cells. Because the PRP comes from your plasma, it makes your body think that the platelets have gone to that area to heal an injury. This process attracts the other platelets in your body resulting in a patch of fibrin to fix the damage. The PRP activates the stem cells that lie dormant in the skin through certain growth factors found in the platelets. The fibrin patch helps promote a collagen increase in that area, which makes your skin smoother and fuller, and the hair on your scalp thicker.

The pure PRP is a non-surgical technique that can be used for the face to improve the texture and complexion of the skin while reducing scars and fine wrinkles and promoting the overall rejuvenation of the skin. PRP can be administered for midface, around the eyes, cheeks, smile and jawlines, low neckline, and hands.

PRP can also be used for the stimulation of hair follicles, promoting hair growth. It is an effective non-surgical option for men and women who desire to restore the condition of their hair or are suffering from hair loss or a receding hairline. PRP can be used in conjunction with other techniques like hair transplant surgery, micro needling, and medication (i.e., Minoxidil) to maximize hair restoration. PRP has been shown to be very useful as the primary procedure in thickening a receding hairline, restoring hair loss around the temples, and fixing inconsistent hair patches. Spray on anesthesia is used to numb the area of injection on the scalp. The plasma injected into the scalp in a period of a few sessions begins to stimulate inactive or (in the case of hair transplant surgery) newly implanted hair follicles, thus promoting tissue repair and epithelial cell growth, and activating the growth phase of the hair follicles.

Fractora

Fractora is a fractional skin resurfacing and subdermal tissue coagulation device that bridges the gap between fractional lasers and surgical procedures by providing controlled heat and stimulating collagen. Several lines of research have shown that Fractora successfully demonstrates outcomes such as improvement in skin complexion, reduction in skin irregularities and restoring skin to a more youthful appearance, significant lifting and tightening in face and neck. The procedure is almost non-invasive due to the usage of micro pins to resurface and restore the skin. Fractora treatment can be used in different areas of the skin in need of rejuvenation such as lower and upper eyelids, smile lines, forehead, cheeks, mouth, and neck. Minimal results occur almost immediately. However, full results may happen after two weeks. Best improvements will take place after three months of continued treatment.

Lumecca

Lumecca is a non-surgical technique that uses photo thermolysis – the most powerful and intense pulsed light technology. It is the ideal treatment for facial pigmentation and vascular lesions. Lumecca applications include improving age spots (red/brown pigmentations), sun damage, vascular lesions (spider veins, port wine stains, leg telangiectasia), rosacea (redness) and freckles. Improvements in the skin’s complexion usually occur after 1-3 treatments.

Forma

Forma promotes skin elasticity and smooth lines and wrinkles using radio frequency currents to stir up the formation of new collagen, providing long-lasting and exceptional results. Forma is an excellent alternative for those who wish not to undergo highly risky cosmetic surgeries. Most patients use Forma to treat areas of their face more prone to wrinkles such as the forehead, crow’s feet, upper and lower eyelids, nasolabial folds, jowls, smile lines, and neck. However, Forma technology is not limited to the face and can also be used for other parts of the body that require contraction such as arms, abdomen, and thighs. Consultation with a physician is needed to know the required number of treatments for each individual.

Mesotherapy

Mesotherapy acts as a natural supplement enhancer for the skin. This technique involves administering via a thin needle to the middle epidermal layer of the skin and restoring its health by infusing rich nutrients and properties. This procedure delivers the nutrients and natural vitamins that younger skin once produced naturally via a small needle. Upon injection, the infused natural solution is absorbed into the bloodstream and supplies to the targeted area. The properties contained in a single application of Mesotherapy include rich antioxidants, multivitamins, amino acids, enzymes, along with Hyaluronic acid. Mesotherapy is a recommended form of treatment for premature aging, tired appearance, acne scars, wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and improvement of stretch marks. Mesotherapy can be applied to rejuvenate the skin around the areas of the face, neck, and hands. It can also be used as a means of accelerating hair growth and promoting the follicle stimulation of the scalp. The results of a single Mesotherapy session can be felt instantly and through a succession of multiple treatments (6 to 10).

Microblading

Microblading is similar to tattooing but is a semi-permanent procedure that imitates the shape and looks of natural brow hairs through a stoking effect created by our highly experienced technicians. The technician will present the design, colour, and expected shape of the eyebrow to ensure maximum satisfaction. A numbing cream will be applied to the area prior to the blading. The technician will then begin the blading procedure, which can take up to 1 hour in total, creating a precise impression of brows. The results of microblading typically last for 12 to 19 months.
